The illustrated stories of Anansi who is a figure in African and Caribbean folklore. Anansi is a part human part spider and is often seen as a spirit of rebellion, he plays clever tricks to avoid trouble, help others or simply to have fun. I was lucky enough to work with Annie Kissack who translated the folktales into Manx Gaelic and and the wonderful team at Moinjer Veggey to bring the joyful character of Anansi to life.
in English called “King Olaf and the Sword of Macabuin” as a Manx folktale beautifully re-imagined by Annie Kissack and written entirely in Manx Gaelic. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Annie and Mooinjer Veggey to illustrate this book and bring this weird and wonderful story to life.
